Outfit Of The Day: Impala

Hey hey!Align Center
Long time no post.

Just been eh with blogger - plus I have no more software to edit my pictures (cropping) hate using photobucket. Anyways, so yeah here's a look from last weekend. Went to Impala in the city. Was eh too lol. I'm so off my makeup game, I swear. I don't put much on and when I do - I don't know what to do.

Here's my outfit - the shirt was a little too long for my taste, it looked cuter pulled waist high. And YES, mirror photos. No one (aka my sister) was around to take pictures for me so excused that.

Wedges - Payless

NOTD: Wet N Wild Through The Grapevine

Nail of the day (er week) from my Walgreen Haul on Wet N Wild.

This is my manicure and pedicure for the week.
I'm IN LOVE - ah this shade is so awesome and perfect for Summer. My other purples weren't cutting it and this had a nice blend of bright yet toned down. The shade took 2 coats mostly and I actually like the short brush on this, was easier to paint my nails without much mistake and it was opaque even at the first coat. 2 were to even things out, 3 to darken a bit. The finish is a bit jelly-like. I got compliments on it when I went out. Totally recommend.

Name: Through the Grapevine
Shade: Mauve/Fuchsia-Purple
Coats: 3
Cost: $1.99
Topcoat: Seviche

edit: I've had this on for a week now (my blog post are made in advance and scheduled) and chipping started on day 6, barely and with constant washing. Great staying power!

FOTD: Wet N' Wild (Lust and Greed Palette)

Hello Readers.
This past weekend I went to Walgreens and bought the Wet N' Wild palettes all bloggers are currently raving about. Ah ugh, the raves were all true. I'm loving the stuff I bought.

I can't be happy enough with these palettes. Truly loving them. But on the Greed palette the two top shadows on the right were a bust, no color payoff at all and I read with some bloggers it didn't swatch on them at all either. So boo. But I love these palettes - it's the best drugstore MAC dupe I've come across. NYX isn't as good as these, but that's all based on my opinions. I'd do swatches but there are many going around so meh lol. Oh, and there are many MAC dupes with this - Tete-a-Tint is my all time favorite shade and I found a WNW dupe, yay!

Bought
-Lust Palette
-Greed Palette
-Through the Grapevine Nail Polish
-Club Havana Nail Polish
-White Eyeliner

Anyway... here's my FOTD trying both palettes out.

Face - Revlon Concealer/Foundation, MAC Joyous Blush
Eyes - Wet N' Wild 1 (highlight), 2 (crease), 3 (lid), 4 (outer crease/lower lid), 5 (darken crease), White e/l waterline, MAC Blacktrack Fluidline, Ardell Lashes, Wet N' Wild Brow Pencil

Lips - NYX Neutral

Anyone liking their WNW Palette - tried the other two Palettes?
Wanna see me do a different look with them - I'm taking request ;)

NOTD: Gradient Look Using OPI Do You Lilac It?

I was a little bored playing with my nail polish.
I do a weekly manicure and pedicure, you know - a bit of self pampering.

Anyway, I had remembered and seen a few looks using the gradient method. From dark to light polish. I need more practice and a bit more variety in polish shades to get it down. But it didn't turn out bad for my first try.

Quick Tutorial:
1. Base color - I used Eyeko Petite Polish first and used a thin coat all over nail. Let dry.
2. Light color - Then I used OPI Do You Lilac It? and used a thin coat stopping 3/4th or 1/2 of the way brushing down. Let dry.
3. Dark color - I applied another coat of DYLI at the tips only. Different shade of the same family color will work well too. Since DYLI is pretty light, I added 2 coats at the tips to darken it.
4. Glitter (optional) - While the last coat is still a bit wet, I applied a small amount of polish with glitter and stroke down. Heaviest glitter amount at the tips and least amount when stroking down to give it a gradient look as well.
5. Top coat

This is pretty easy to get down - but like I said with practice the gradient would look more blended in.

What do you think? - Should I do a photo tutorial on this as well?
