SoCAL Vacay Pics

Hey guys
I'm back from our little trip to SoCAL (Southern California).
Stayed at Anaheim and we hit little spots he hadn't done before.

Went to Mission San Jaun Capistrano - first Mission in CA.
Really gorgeous there. Perfect for wedding receptions, photoshoots...
Then we went to Discovery Museum in Santa Ana.
It was for kids, mainly - but my old ass had fun lol.
Gone to San Pedro beaches and farmers market.

Ate a lot!
I've never seen so many yogurt joints then down there, lucky bastards.
Had Pollo Campero - and mmm. Haven't had that since I was 7 when I stayed in El Salvador for a month. Now... that's bomb ass chicken! It practically shits on KFC, Popeye and Pollo Loco.

But damn - I gained the lbs so the chicken ain't feeling so bomb ass on my gut lol.

Here's just a collective pictures of the trip.
Didn't manage to take a lot, actually.

Off To SoCal - Travel Guide & Tips

Yes, I'm off to LA tomorrow morning.
Thought I'd make a post of the usual things I bring along when traveling along w/ tips!

I'll be gone for 5 days and while what I bring in general is a lot - I'm the type to always to over pack and cover any thing that I might possibly use. Not that I always tend to use it either way, it's just on the safe side. It's also hotter down South then up in the Bay so I bring products appropriate for the climate too.

1. Makeup - My Essentials
  • MAC 15-pan Palette w/ my most used shades (from neutrals to brights).
  • MAC 6-pan Blush Palette (I normally bring 1 blush but I had room to bring the palette)
  • MAC Paint Pots - 3 base colors
  • MAC Pigment Samples
  • Assorted Face/Eye Brushes
  • 2 Nude Glosses
  • 2 Mascara (one is for lower lashes)
  • Foundation/Concealer
  • 1 False Lashes

2. Face/Hair
  • Humidity Control Hairspray
  • Leave-In Conditioner Hairspray
  • Facial Toner
  • Face Moisturizer
  • Body Cream
  • Nail Polish Remover* (not a necessity but I tend to change polish often)
  • Hair Gel
3. Everything packaged in my Target Sonia Kashuk travel case. Included but not pictured are:
  • DKNY Perfume
  • Moisturizer Spritz
  • Makeup Wipes/pads
  • Acne Treatment
  • Mirror
  • 4 Nailpolishes
  • Tweezers/Brow Pencils
  • Lipstick/Glosses

On Makeup:
  • Like I said, I tend to pick shades depending on climate and also what will match universally w/ my clothes. The MAC 15-pan palette is perfect for traveling and it's advisable to buy foam to place in them to prevent shadows breaking. I normally pick several shades from different color groups just because I never know if I'm going out somewhere special and wanna spiff it up or I wanna tone-down a look in the day time and go neutral. The palette is also ideal because it saves so much room!
  • Cream eyeshadows are also nicer alternatives to pressed shadows. Besides being bases, they work well on their own and for on the go looks.
  • Jars work well if you have pigments that you love using. Scoop a bit in a jar instead of bringing the whole case. Coastal Scents or eBay provides them. A good room saver too.
  • If you're lucky enough to get a hold of MAC's travel brushes - bring those! I usually just bring my most essential brushes and leave behind miscelleanous ones.
  • Miscelleanous makeup products like eyelashes are up to the individual. I tend to bring false lashes just because sometimes I wanna get girly up. The half-lashes are perfect for traveling anywhere! And tweezers because my brows grow out w/in days.
On Face/Hair:
  • I had bought the jar/spray bottles of 11 at Big Lots for $4.99. They came w/ labeling and different types of jars and bottles sizes. I loved them. I use to bring the whole bottles but these little suckers saved me so much room. You can also find some at Walmart.
  • Go to the section in stores (Target is awesome for this) were you see the $1 bin/travel products. You'd find a lot of little disposable things like makeup wipes, lotion, sanitizer, hairspray, etc.

The less products - the less hassle.
I know, you want to take everything with you but traveling w/ makeup could possibly result in breakage or damage and also the more room in your traveling bag - the more room you can fill it up w/ makeup you buy on your travels ;]

Got any traveling tips you wanna share or good deals? - post away...

PS: Read the red text on the top of my page and vote for me!
Thank you loads.

My Sister's Misfit Makeover

This past Saturday my sister was in a Quincenera
(like a Sweet 16 or Cotillion).
I did her makeup that day.

We were really rushed in getting her done up because
the dumbass who did choreography backed
the girls up for an hour in the morning.
My sister didn't really have the time to do her hair properly
& I rushed w/ her makeup.

But she turned out really nice overall.
Wish I had pictures of all the kids but
I'mma share my sister's makeover instead.

Copper Ink

Had my sushi date w/ the BF today for our 2-months.
Time flies... doesn't it?
It was a very chill day but I felt I had to look really pretty for him, haha.
I'm such an opposite...
You know how I've heard you dress sexy and get all done up when you first date and such? Well, I usually see him all bare faced and gross like we've been dating for years. Haha. I just get hella lazy and I know I should at least look more attractive since we're still in the early stages but really, if he's seen the downstairs - he really shouldn't give a shit about how the upstairs look. Lmao.
Right?!

Anyways, I even took time to curl my hair. I usually just get up and flip my bangs but I took my time and hairspray to curl. I really should do it more often. I felt like a girl...

But I had seen a look on someone using Coppering and HAD to use it.
I'm in love with this shade now...
Funny how I "Re-discover" my old shadows.

Any ideas or recommendations for hair dye on mi pelo or how I should dye it?
I really want to change it badly since you can see my natural hair already reaches past my chin, lol! My hair grows fast! Thanks.

Forever Love

Hi guys,

I've had an up and down couple of weeks but it's turning to an up right now.

I found out my friend's bf got killed some weeks ago (so tragic! I feel for her)
Me and the bf broke up but then made up again(...the last and only time.)
Diet has been meh cause I'm feeling lazy as of late.
Mom bought us a new car! Honda Accord '09.
Shopping for here and there...

...which leads me to the last haul I had.
My mom treated me and my sister out to Forlove21.
I've been wanting to update my necklaces because most broke cus of my drunken self at nightclubs lol. Aren't they pretty selections?

I got earrings, necklace and that flower ring.

Now the look I had yesterday when I finally saw my bf after a week.
We went to see Funny People. It was funny but hella long! [3hrs]
This Wednesday will be our 2 month anniversary.
Trying to think of something fun to do.
Our dates have always been the best.

Anyways, my looks on a day to day are pretty simple but a cool way to notch up a look in a quick way is to use one shade in your inner corner all the way down to your lower lid/waterline. It adds instant color without doing much.

Revlon Colorstay Concealer
MAC Blush in Joyous
